On Thursday, June 18, 2026, admission to the Museum is free (opening of the exhibition “ School of Seeing: The City”). On Friday, June 19, 2026, admission to the Museum is charged.
Wednesday, June 24, 2026: The Herbst Palace Museum will be open starting at 1 p.m.

Old Masters Gallery in the Herbst Palace

An album with reproductions of the most interesting paintings from the collection exhibited in the Herbst Palace Museum. We are attracted by a white square partly hiding the picture on the cover – it annoys us, surprises and stimulates interest.

From the album the reader will learn about the history of the collection and will admire high quality reproductions of artworks, such as „Napoleon on a Horse” by the convention breaking painter-aristocrat Piotr Michałowski, „Portrait of the Artist’s Mother”, which has brought European recognition to Henryk Rodakowski or „A Game of Croquet” by Leon Wyczółkowski, which in fact is about intelligent playing with light in painting. Other artworks are also worth discovering.
