Placing the Old Masters Gallery in a 19th-century residence enables grasping the multilayer perspectives connected with cultural heritage of the 19th century.

By organising thematic exhibitions, which present various fields of creative involvement and through its discourse-based programme, the Museum highlights social history themes and places Old Masters art in a broader context of everyday culture.
